Dr. Terryl A. White is a native of Perry, New York, and has lived in the Washington, D.C., area since 1978. Following college, he taught junior high school and high school sciences for eight years in New York and Colorado.
He came to Georgetown University School of Dentistry, graduating in 1983. The following year he completed a General Residency in Connecticut's Yale-New Haven Hospital. He received a Specialist Certificate and post graduate degree in Orthodontics from Georgetown University in 1986. Dr. White earned Board Certification by the American Board of Orthodontics in 1996.
Dr. White is passionately dedicated to creating spectacular smiles and healthy functional occlusions for all his patients by utilizing the most recent technological advancements and clinical techniques available. He treats families in a friendly, fun, caring, and highly personalized environment. Dr. White finds satisfaction in seeing the changes orthodontic treatment can make in a patients life, not just in his or her appearance but also in his or her confidence and self-image.
He and his wife, Marialice, have 3 daughters, Kathleen, Kelly, and Regan. Dr. White is active in the community, schools, and his church. He is a charter member and past president of the Sterling Rotary Club, and sponsors numerous individual and team sports each year. He has provided dental treatment to the underserved in the Andes Mountains of Colombia, South America. He is a member of the Knights of Columbus, a CCD teacher, and a Knight of The Sovereign Military Hospitaller Order of St. John of Jerusalem of Rhodes and of Malta. He enjoys golf, skiing, rock climbing/backpacking, water sports, travel, and piano.
